Housing and Topper are all Black Forest wood even the Cuckoo Bird and the Quartz movement is made in Germany with no fixes or re-gluing. It has a switch on the bottom left side that you can select Low-High volume or off on all sounds but the clock continues to run. Uses 3 size C batteries (we recommend Duracell).
