Tabasco peppers (Capiscum frutescens) originate from Tabasco, Mexico and were introduced to Louisiana in 1848. These peppers are very hot registering 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville units and are best known to make the famous hot sauce in most people's homes. This annual will grow 1.5"-2" peppers that will range in color from yellow to orange to red
