Brand new factory sealed dvd of film #5 in the series. None of the serie films are related and all have stand-alone stories, so there is no need to watch in any particular order. I have seen a couple of these and they are very entertaining. This particular film is an anthology of slightly related stories. I can't tell by the technical spec symbol of the numeral 1 on the back if this is subtitled in English or not. It also appears to be letterboxed, so if newer TV owners use your zoom mode, you could lose some or all of the subtitles depending on the mode selected. In the first segment, Cheung, a night shift taxi driver, picks up 5 differant passengers on the same night: an injured triad boss, a woman pretending to be a ghost, a mysterious old woman, an edgy woman, and the ghost of a traffic policeman. In the second segment, Cheung's friend, Fat, moves to a new apartment with his wife and son. He gambles despite being in debt. In finding his new home to be haunted, he asks the ghost to help him win all his bets and in return he will share 1/2 of everything he has. He soon regrets the deal as the ghost wants him to share not only his fortune, but also his wife and the number of years he has left to live! In the third segment, Fat's son, On, has grown up and Cheung has quit driving the taxi and has started his own security company. Cheung hires On and assigns him the night shift in an office building. One night, On and two colleagues encounter a ghostly old woman and end up on a non-existant 14th floor. While escaping from the building, On has a vision of the haunted apartment he lived in as a boy. When his mother finds out, she wants them to reenact their escape from the building while she accompanys them in the hopes of meeting her dead husband Fat!
