Item description

Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US hand-painted cardstock advertisement from the classic 1930's western drama, TEXAS PIONEERS, released in 1932 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Harry L. Fraser. In order to find out who is smuggling guns to the Indians, an army officer pretends to have been demoted and hold a grudge against the army, hoping that the smugglers will try to contact him and take him into their gang. The cast includes Bill Cody, Andy Shuford, LeRoy Mason, Sheila Bromley, Chief Standing Bear, and Iron Eyes Cody. We believe this to be a vintage original hand-painted advertisement created at the time the film was released, which features basis credits from the film. Hand-painted in white, orange, and red on a piece of black cardstock, it measures just under 8 x 10 in. and is in fine- condition as shown.
