Item description

This is the 4th studio album by the punk rock revival band Swinging? Utters. Released in 2000 it has a little more folksy sound than previous albums. Originally formed in Santa Cruz, Ca., they capture an anti-pop street sound along with elements of cow punk and folk-rock that combines highly melodic rockabilly with high energy hardcore English punk. After moving to San Francisco, they gained fame by touring with bands like Rancid, the Damned, and Dropkick Murphys and never looked back. Instrumentally there are no boundaries as they employ upright bass, violin, piano, cello and mandolin. Highlights: The mariachi punk of Watching the Wayfarers, punk rock anthems like Pills and Smoke, Taken Train, The Green Glass-- sung by guitarist Spike Slawson (Me First and the Gimme Gimmes), and (for Rocky Horror fans) Eddies Teddy. This is an instantly likable masterpiece with no filler anywhere. Twenty years later, it still sounds fresh and new as ever.
