I spent a very long time picking out the butterfly charm for this bracelet. To me this butterfly symbolizes the common struggles of eating disorders: coming of age, development, and self-image, and all of which are key issues to recovery. A butterfly, also struggles on its own with limited mobility for food and shelter from extreme weathers and predation, starting as a larvae and continuing as a caterpillar until it grows its wings. In time and perseverance, the caterpillar matures; in the most vulnerable state, it metamorphoses into an exotic figure and flies. Strung on high quality beading wire, the bracelet is very strong yet retains just the right amount of flexibility to avoid kinking. The standard size of this bracelet, as depicted in the pictured, measures approximately 7.25 inches long, but if you need a different length, I will be happy to custom make a bracelet to any size up to 8 inches.
