Gorgeous unique sterling silver and Baltic amber miniature elephant purchased at a recent estate sale from a world traveler who loved miniature animals. Likely from India or Thailand, the only mark we could find is a very small one on the left hind leg they might be a Pc, Pd or something similar in an offset 4 sided shape. We did scratch acid test and with 18K acid revealed a very nice creamy blue residue indicating high level of silver content (usually 925 or above). Regardless of metal content, this might be one of the coolest figurines we have seen as the middle part of the elephants also amber. The eyes might also be but they look a bit darker so they might be something else. Elephant is a bit longer than 1.5 inches in length and with trunk just over 1 inch in height. Base is amber as well.
