Starbucks 2014 Your next one's on us. Collectible Gift Card 2014 ends with another major change in how customers receive complementary drinks. In the past, paper and cardboard vouchers were given to someone if they had a bad experience, poor customer service, etc. It was a way for Starbucks to redeem themselves with the customer. It's called Service Recovery. This Starbucks Card replaces the current cardboard voucher that was good for any drink, any size. Unlike the "unlimited" voucher, this Card is tapped-out at $4.00. The problem is most U.S. and Canadian markets would be okay with a $4.00 credit, but try to replace a frappuccino in New York or Los Angeles. Prices do fluctuate from market to market, so replacing an expensive drink with $4.00 is questionable with this new system. It should be noted that these Cards are much thinner than a standard Starbucks Card. Collectors Note: The 2014 Holiday 99 issues has a similar Card "It's On Me This Time", used for person to person.
