Item description

This is a great looking St. Louis Fire Dept challenge coin. Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter and raised lettering on both sides with a reeded edge. Reverse side is a gold plated St. Florian Patron Saint of Firefighters. Coin is contained in an acrylic air tight holder. The St. Louis Fire Department (STLFD) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the city of St. Louis, Missouri. The department is also the second oldest paid fire department in the United States. The STLFD is responsible for 62.5 square miles and has a population of approximately 319,294 with a daytime population over 1 million and with events going on. The department is a division of the St. Louis Department of Public Safety.
