Item description

This hand made Shipibo bag is embellished with traditional Shipibo art Kene on both sides. The tribal handicraft bags are produced mainly by women, and they usually flow to them as inspiration when working with Aya. Aya is a sacred plant with which Shipibo people have coexisted for thousands of years, they drink it during ceremonies to gain knowledge of life and nature. All Shipibo patterns and designs are symbols seen in the visions during these ceremonies. The complex designs also show the richness of their life and culture. Each piece is a unique work of art. Made 100% natural cotton Measurement: 10" x 9"
