Will grow 60 foot tall and 40 foot wide. Needles are blue-green in summer and a lighter yellow green in winter. Bark is orange and peels. Tolerates alkaline soil, high pH soils, and is used extensively to reclaim undesirable areas. Best in well drained soils in full sun. Not recommended for areas in the Midwest that has Pine Wilt.
