This was a special find - these gorgeous natural sapphires are a rich deep chocolatey brown, with LOTS of golden chatoyance and wonderful sparkle. This color is rarely seen in a briolette like this, and is more commonly seen in golden star sapphires (these do not have a star though!). The sapphires are about 10mm long and 10mm wide, and are 5 carats or more for each stone. NOTE: The fourth photo shows an added extender, available in my shop separately (see below). The faceting and polish is excellent overall, with a few rough (matte) junctions at the edge of a facet. These stones do have some inclusions, most of which consist of a dark spot or line that doesn't have the same chatoyance as the rest of the stone - it was hard to photograph, but if you look closely you can see several in the photos - the best shot is in the last photo, there is a spot on the left side, and also a thin line that goes thru part of the stone. Due to the golden hue of the chatoyance in these stones, I most recommend the 14k yellow gold-filled chain! Though the stone will look good no matter what chain, the yellow gold really shows it off the best.
