Item description

SUFFERING By Louis Evely 1967 1st Edition. Hardcover. 160 pages A friend of mine gave me this book as I was heading out for our summer vacation after breaking one of my toes. I spent a good deal of that vacation sitting or lying down with my foot up and my toe under ice, reading this book and taking copious notes on it. It is excellently written and provides understandable teaching on the problems as well as the traumas of this life through the lens of our destination, Heaven. With each section I thought that Louis Evely had pretty much covered everything. Then, I'd start the next section and be quickly drawn into the its series of thoughts leading to much deeper insights into Christ, his mission and its meaning for us. Written in the 1960's, I was surprised how relevant it is for today.
