Our Padparadsha CZ looks remarkably like the stuff that comes from the ground, but tons cleaner and with a lot better color. Oh, and it's affordable. I can't even guess what a real one this size one run, but it'd be in the 5 digits for sure. Oh, you ask, just what IS Padparadsha Sapphire? Well, it's basically a bright Orange Sapphire from the mining district of Padparadsha, India. I's essentially played out now, but 20 years ago, it was producing Orange Sapphire with the most amazing play of red and yellow fire. Alas, no more. We do have a source, though, for an Orange-Red CZ with the same awesome color attributes, and for a ton less money. This ring is a really classy design. It's more about the stone than the ring, but the ring itself is not quiet. Two CZ accents on either side to set off the center stone -- altogether, a nice package. At SylvaRocks, all of our Sterling Silver is made with a state of the art alloy which modifies the traditional Sterling Silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid Germanium. Adding Germanium to the Sterling Silver results in a highly tarnish resistant silver. Since the resulting metal is still 92.5% pure silver, is still qualifies as Sterling Silver -- just better.
