This is a vintage deck of playing cards made for The SLOTS A FUN Casino Las Vegas, Nevada. Sealed. Slots-A-Fun is formerly owned by Carl Thomas, a gaming executive linked to the Civella family of the Kansas City mob in the 1970's when various parts of the mafia controlled the casino operations in Las Vegas. Thomas helped orchestrate an elaborate scheme to skim money from casinos for the mob, which he was later arrested, charged and convicted for his role in the skim. For many years, Slots-A-Fun was famous for giving free bags of fresh-popped popcorn for early morning gamblers, but is now discontinued. A blog reports that on July 1 2009 Sots-A-Fun would begin the re-branding process in order to be incorporated into Circus Circus. Currently owned by The MGM Resorts International, one of the smallest operating casinos on the strip. Playing Card sized: 3-1/2" x 3/4" thick x 2-1/4".
