This is a Rare (1948-1952) Post War Lionel Trains 6357 Lighted Red Caboose ,Variation B. Car comes with original box. WIRE NEEDS TO BE SOLDERED ,SEE PIC.6 Tested with battery and lights works (see pic.11). Great red coloring, good clear white lettering. All intact with original catwalks, couplers. Clean underside ,has an excellent wheels. No rust on metal parts. Box shows some age ,but all 6 flaps are present. NO RETURN. If you have question,ask BEFORE,not after. Now information from Lionel library The Lionel SP Type Caboose No. 6357 was produced from 1948 until 1961. Early editions would have staple-end trucks, but would not have a smoke stack. When Lionel stopped making the No. 6457 in 1952, this caboose became the premiere SP type that was issued. Those cabooses made after 1952 have the smoke stack and bar-end trucks although they lacked the tool boxes and ladders that were on the No. 6457. Because this caboose was issued over many years there are many variations. All of these variations are printed "SP" "C-40-1" and "BUILT 9-47" (unless stated otherwise) on the sides of the body that is fastened to the chassis by screws. 6
