Size cm 34 x 26 Rolls-Royce Limited was a British luxury car and later an aircraft engine manufacturer founded in 1904 in Manchester by the partnership of " Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. The company was formed as ?Rolls-Royce Limited? in 1906 and 1908 a new factory was opened in Derby. World War I led the company to the production of aircraft engines. Joint development of jet engines began in 1940 and went into production in 1944.
