Item description

Box cover has the obvious dry sticker residue on the upper left and is pretty shelf worn around the corners and edges with creases and wrinkles on every side, top corners are dog-eared. Cassette is nice and clean though, pre-viewed for quality and it had some rolling lines at 1 hour 11 1/2 minutes during the dark tunnel chase scene so it's barely noticeable. A ship from Brazil arrives with some crates for the Chicago museum and the crew is headless! Now you might think that would raise some red flags, but the relics go on display anyway. The opening-night gala for a new exhibit is under way, but a superstitious police detective, Vincent D'Agosto (Tom Sizemore), decides to close down the exhibit of...Superstition. That does not sit well with museum director Ann Cuthbert (Linda Hunt), who decides she needs grant money and goes ahead with it. The South American Mythological creature looks like a cross between a spider, a mastadon and a lizard and proceeds to suck brains until sassy scientist Penelope Ann Miller decides she's had enough and helps the detective to stop the monster. This effects filled shocker gives the haunted-house movie a fresh new setting. Oscar winner Stan Winston ('Jurassic Park') brings the head-ripping non-human star to life.
