Pre-viewed for quality and there was a barely noticeable side-to-side jitter that tracking down seemed to help on my Emerson vcr. There was a quick rolling line at 37 min; played great otherwise. Thomas' meeting with an Aborigine, steeped in the regions legends, leads him deeper into the meaning of life (and lake) until the climax, where the explanation behind the monster offers insight into Thomas' learning process. Beautifully photographed and acted, the director also made 'Dead End Drive-In'.
