An English heirloom variety, bred for overwintering. Produces lots of purple broccoli sprouts in the spring. Once the main head is removed this variety will continuously produce many offshoots during the season. Grows slowly through the winter; very frost hardy. Leaves can be harvested during the winter. An extremely easy to grow vegetable. A great variety that is very hard to find in this country. Delicious! This cruciferous vegetable is full of anti-oxidants and like other cruciferous vegetables helps prevent cancer.
