Item description

? The Primus White currant is a compact bush that produces long clusters of white currants. Plant 6-10 inches tall, bare root during dormancy. Each bush can yield up to 20 pounds of fruit and is considered the sweetest of all currants. This variety thrives in zones 3-8. ? Currants offer a wide range of health benefits. They are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, protein, fiber, and essential minerals like magnesium and potassium. These versatile berries can be enjoyed fresh, in jams, juices, sauces, or dried for later use. ? Currants grow easily throughout the western United States, including the Northwest. Some Ribes species are even native to the region. These hardy plants thrive in fertile, well-drained soil and require minimal care to flourish. ? Height: 4-6 feet, but can be maintained smaller with pruning. Minimum temperature: Hardy to -40ºF to -50ºF. U.S.D.A. zone: 2-8. Find your zone here. Light: Full sun to partial sun. Bearing age: 2-3 years, producing 10-20 pounds per plant. Pollination requirements: None, as it is self-fertile. Ripens: July. ? Cannot send to: Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Virginia, Maine, North Carolina, and West Virginia. ? Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving the order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
