How to Tell Genuine Cactus Seed Oil Cactus Seed Oil is a natural product and so the colour and smell do vary. But a truly authentic oil is light/medium to green/gold in colour and a sweet/"toasted" cactus seed smell of fruit honey. However, Cactus Seed Oil is a totally natural product and seeds from dry parts of Morocco or harvested at different times of the year can produce slight variations in the qualities of the oil.
