These candlesticks are lovely. They are heavy and I think they are cut or pressed glass but I don't know. They remind me of a fine glass manufacturers' wares. They are a tad over 9 inches tall. The base has six edges as does the top and every cut to every view has six cuts. The base is 4 inches across. The are classic and plain enough to dress up any place setting or centerpiece. I ran my fingers along every angle and cannot find any chips or cracks. Nor do they have any of those bubble blemishes associated with very old glass.
