Intentions of Murder (1964, B/W, 153 min.) DVD box set released by the Criterion Collection in 2009 - no longer available and quite scarce. Sh?hei Imamura (1926 ? 2006) was a Japanese film director. A key figure in the Japanese New Wave, Imamura is the only director from Japan to win two Palme d'Or awards. His films are earthy, idiosyncratic, and feature strong, willful heroines. All 3 films were digitally restored and subtitled in English for this release. Also includes several interviews and an Imamura except from a 1995 French TV series. All DVDs come with booklets written by various film critics.
