Item description

Tabasco (Capsicum frutescens 'Tabasco') - 50 Seeds •Heirloom •Non-GMO •American grown seeds •Easy to Grow Description: Named after the area of its origin in south-east Mexico, it is most famous for the sauce for which it has been widely grown since as early as 1850. The fruits turn from a pale yellow to orange to red as they mature. The compact bush grows up to 4 feet tall and can bear up to 100, upward pointing peppers reaching 1 1/2 inches long. Scoville units: 30,000 - 50,000. Growing Instructions: Seeds can be started indoors four weeks before the last frost. Seed germination is high, and they will begin sprouting 13 to 34 days after planting. Plant seedlings outdoors after the last frost of the season, once the ground has warmed up. Space the seedlings 3 feet apart so that the mature plants don’t shade each other. Tabasco pepper plants need full sun to reach their maximum height of 6 feet. In most zones, the best time to plant seedlings is late April to May. Seeding Depth - 1/4” Plant Spacing - 3'
