Item description

Pat Rooney Sr, ( July 4, 1880 - September 9, 1962) autographed 1949 vintage single weight 8x10 photo hand signed and inscribed in fountain pen To Joe Hello I'm Still going How are you would love to see you Best always to you Pat Rooney Sr., Rooney was a singer, dancer and songwriter and called himself Pat Rooney, Jr. until his father, famous Irish singer/dancer Pat Rooney, died. His own son, also named Pat Rooney (b. 1909) and following in his family's musical footsteps, then became Pat Rooney Jr. This Pat Rooney performed in a vaudeville team with his own son, and also appeared on Broadway stages for over a half a century, beginning with In Atlantic City (1898) and ending with Guys and Dolls (1950-1953). In the latter hit, he played Sarah Brown's Salvation Army mentor, Arvide Abernathy, singing the sentimental "More I Cannot Wish You" ( a song omitted from the film version). Rooney appeared in many musical film shorts of the 1930's. Buy with confidence we have been selling in-person autographs since 1992. Vintage Hollywood
