This is a nice old vintage hand carved wooden box (see photos). The item is made of hand carved wood with an inlaid central medallion of the Taj Mahal on the lid. The item is not marked by a maker. The item is from India. The box has a lock in it, but I do not have a key It is currently unlocked). This item measures about 3+ inches high in total, the item is about 8 inches wide from the front edge to the back side and it is about 12 inches wide from side to side. The item opens up to reveal l what looks to be places for paper and other desk or stationery items. This item has some losses to the brass inlay on the top, no key to the lock, some chips and losses to the wood, some scuffs and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
