This is a very nice antique bronze handled footed tray (see photos). The tray is made of solid cast bronze with a painted, patinated and partially natural finish (see photos). The tray has ornate handles and a central plaque with an interior scene that shows a figure (maybe Joan of Arc ?) before a seated figure with knights in suits of armor looking on (see photos). The painting is painted on canvas (see photos). The central plaque is signed by the artist (see photos - illegible to me). The item is heavy. The central is signed illegibly so I do not know the artist or the origin, but I would guess it to be European in origin possibly French (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The tray in total measures about 3.5 inches high at the handles. The tray top portion measures about 12+ inches high on the shorter side it is about 1 foot 8 inches wide from handle to handle. The item has paint or patina wear from use and handling. The item has some scuffs, finish losses and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
