Totally gorgeous set, no real damage just a little light wear or it might just be how they were made. Do not appear to have come from a smoking house although I have only had them a short while. Gilded and raised slip Moriage style decorations, Occupied Japan Hallmark on the bottoms. Handled serving bowl with lid on it is about 4 1/2" tall, the handles at their widest about 6 1/2" apart which as you surely will want this for your display cabinet you will want to know. The plates about 7 1/2" diameter and I genuinely don't think you will find better examples of this decorative art that was available to the working family. Provided they knew how to save for nice things. Intricate and superb, absolutely beautiful. An ideal gift for anyone including yourself. Offers are being considered on this item but please make them sincere ones especially if you are outside of the USA where it is riskier for me to send it as some postal systems are not as good as others. If you live in Japan or the UK however it is no problem, probably most aren't but some are. FWIW it will be packed with a lot of protection and cushioning and sent insured.
