Item description

Price is for ONE single RECORDING Head BRAND NEW RECORDING Replacement head for Pioneer RT-909, RT-901, Rt-707, and RT-701. 4 track stereo for 1/4" tape. Also can be used with Otari 5050 series with 4 track playback option. The heads were made using the head structure from a 1/2 track head. The pole pieces and laminates are set in place to comply with the 1/4 track tape format and filler used. This means when you look at these heads you might say from view that they are 1/2 track heads but in reality they are not. Please be aware that this is not "plug and play" item. Alignment needed such as heights, azimuth, and zenith, like any other heads even an original. Record level and bias also need to be performed on the deck. I would recommend to use 16 kHz alignment tape to adjust heads precisely. Heads were tested on RT-909 deck, please see the pictures from spectroanalizer.
