Allenby. Michael Seymour Blankfort (1907-1982) was an American screenwriter, author and playwright. In an act of selfless courage, while risking being blacklisted himself, Blankfort served as a front for his friend the blacklisted Albert Maltz on the Academy Award-nominated screenplay of Broken Arrow (1950).
