SoVintageous is offering this fabulous vintage handmade sterling silver Aztec Sun Calendar pendant brooch, inlaid with black onyx. This is a three layered piece with the top layer consisting of a wonderfully detailed sterling silver repousse created sun calendar, inlaid with black onyx, while the back is a layer of sterling with the pin and pendant loop attached. Sandwiched in between is, from what I can make out, some kind of light wood (possibly balsa) encased in a black veneer of some kind. It's hallmark indicates it was made in the early 20th century (1920's - mid 1940's) This is a spectacular jewel with incredible depth and detailing.
