Mefix Adhesive Non-woven Polyester Retention Tape Mefix is an apertured, non-woven polyester fabric backed with a layer of an acrylic adhesive, and is protected on the roll by a paper backing. Mefix has a degree of lateral stretch and conformability, with high tensile strength and must be cut with scissors. Uses: Mefix is an ideal tape for the retention of dressings. The polyester fabric adheres well and may be left in position for prolonged periods, if required. How to use: Cut to the required length and shape,-peel off backing paper and apply. If used over a joint, it is recommended that Mefix be orientated so that the direction of maximum extensibility of the fabric coincides with the direction of movement of the limb.
