Item description

Germination Instructions Soil temperature: 70 degrees fahrenheit Germination lighting: Light required Germination days: 10 Days days Plant spread: 18" Plant height: 24-36'' Plant type: Perennial Maturation days: 100 days Seed Count: 50 You can start these early in trays about 10 weeks before your last frost. If in trays transplant to larger pots or cells once the true leaves appear ( generally the second set of leaves). We find they do better when you direct seed these in spring after your last frost. They prefer sunlight to germinate so till enriched garden soil 6" deep and scatter you seeds on the surface. Cover thinly with sand or vermiculite, or in the garden a very light dusting of peat. They do not like late day heat so here in zone 7 we plant them where they get afternoon shade. Those in mild climates should plant in full sun.
