Doom Eternal has provided us with many impressive skins, but based on the lore, we opted to create the Maykr design. Introduction: I think there is none who need an introduction of the original Doom, corner stone of the first person shooter genre. Its reincarnation in 2016 was worthy of the name and its direct sequel, Doom Eternal was able to raise the bar even higher. The combat mechanics, the soundtrack, the enemy and level design are the pinnacle of game development. There were many demon designs that caught my eyes, but Urdak and the Maykrs themselves are my true favorite above all else. So there is no surprise, I've played mostly with the Maykr skin! Materials and Processing: The helmet was made from high quality PLA filament, with a precision 3D printer. It has a reinforced inner structure and a completely wearable design. Right after the printing, it went through a careful sanding process before it received the base colors. After that the parts were placed together and assembled, we have added the fine details, marks of wear and all that was needed to get this exceptional helmet alive! Through the final steps, we have inserted the super comfy padding and the adjustable tensioner, that makes it fit for all head sizes! The eye-part has a switchable red LED and it needs a single CR 2032 coin cell battery to light up. This is interchangeable with a clear plexiglass module which allows the wearer to moderately see out from the helmet. As always, our main goal was to made this prop as real and authentic as possible. No detail is too small, if this helmet could talk, it would definitely has an ancient story to tell... The helmet itself is a 1:1 - true to size replica of the original. It can fully cover an adults head.
