Item description

20inch x 30inch Poster Leonetto Cappiello (9. April 1875 in Livorno, Italy ?? 2. February 1942 in Cannes, France) was an Italian poster art designer who lived in Paris. He is now often called 'the father of modern advertising' because of his innovation in poster design. French wine and spirits poster features a yellow satyr (half man, half goat) carrying a bunch of grapes. Paris Founded by Jean Martell in 1715, this self-named brand of cognac stayed in the family until 1988 when it was bought by Seagram (now part of Pernod Ricard). Here, Pan is shown trotting off all the necessary ingredients for a true bacchanalia, but not before giving the viewer a knowing glance over his shoulder. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct.
