Item description

Still among the best on health, food cooking, next to Sally Fallon's Nourishing Traditions. Stands up to all the best current science, not the junk science bought paid for by Big Food Big Drug. But the 1970 paperback Let's Cook It Right caved into the Big Vegetable Oil phoney science to get herself a big publisher? That is when the mass confusion in food health began. That is when our modern diseases epidemics also began big time. The index is almost perfect, making it a valuable reference. Her her experience is vast will greatly help anyone with even the strangest conditions who can use an index. Never depend on supplements since they will cause problems. All nutrients, vitamins minerals are complexes work together. Supplements are synthetic fractionated missing all or some crucial components which only increases any deficiencies. Drugs do not bring health either. The best you can expect from drugs supplements (with one exception: Standard Process) is short term relief then long term grief. Use more seafood but only wild caught. Sea vegetables are crucial to eat often such as daily kelp dulse for all-important iodine, all minerals more. You will need updating by getting Sally Fallon-Morell's Nourishing Traditions, also based on up to date impeccable science. There you will find the answers to questions about farming, foods, fats, milk, soy, grains, beans, seeds nuts. On the Iodine question see Dr. David Brownstein's books. Adelle's finding that Americans were so sick because they were eating too much overall mostly excess carbs, mostly later in the day (the big dinner) with little or no breakfast (also mostly carbs) and sugary carbohydrate heavy snacks all day is still true today. She advised eating more proteins, especially as a generous breakfast, a light lunch even lighter dinner, not overeating of anything. Since then our health has become worse due to people now avoiding salt fats, using excess refined unsaturated vegetable oils - all caused by misleading marketing and corrupt science more corrupt reporting of that science in marketing of drugs, supplements, vegetable oils (demonizing the healthy coconut palm), soy products, and demonization of fats animal products (which helps destroy small farms). Now that I've read Adelle Davis' book Let's Eat Right have found her mistakes I can say it it's still very important to read it as long as you can spot the mistskes. There is so much information in it that is of vital interest that I have seen nowhere else. Her info is mostly first class on vit. E B-complex is the best I've ever seen. Shipped the next day 6/27/24
