Some scenes are breathtaking, such as the inhabitants crossing the mushy sea with snow shoes and gas-filled balloons strapped on to lift your weight up (see cover photo) so you can walk on top of it. And the Spanish nuts worship a Lovecraftian wriggling octopus god.
