Item description

THE PERSIAN CAT by John Flagg Gold Medal Books, Original Paperback, 1950 Condition: Good+ This mystery featuring Special Agent Gil Denby (in his first case) was the first original novel published by Gold Medal Books (its four previous titles were all non-fiction anthologies). Sexy cover art by Downes. The covers and spine are quite nice, with just some modest spine end wear, a small corner crease and a bit of lamination peeling. But the section of the the book between pages 8 asnd 53 was obviously re-glued to the spine -- the section is uneven with the rest of the book and at those two pages the paper at the gutter still shows separation, though the section is intact and not loose. An uncommon key Gold Medal title.
