Text or email with any questions....thank you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Artist: JOSEPH CHABOT (20th century) Joseph Chabot was born in the 1920s and grew up with a love of art. As an adult he recognized oil painting as the classic pinnacle of the quintessential artist. He soon showed amazing talent in a modern style, producing landscapes, portraits, street scenes and cityscapes. He soon teamed up with fellow artists Fred Nestroy, Phillip Marchand, and Joseph's brother Leon Chabot, all of whom had previously studied art together. They formed an art studio in Los Angeles together, and later in the late 1950s and 1960s, a printing making facility. Yet of the three, Joseph had a distinctive talent with oil on canvas, as seen in this dramatic portrait.
