Product description: "Indians of Peru" is an album of the descendant of the Inca in many phases of his daily life with a section devoted to the ancient ruins. In selecting these eighty-seven photographs from amongst hundreds, the editors have sought to document pictorially a colorful people and to present Pierre Verger at his most distinguished as artist and as technician. A map of Peru follows the photographs which are grouped regionally. Introduction and captions have been written in Spanish by Dr. Luis E Valcarcel, director of the National Museum of History, Lima. The English translation is by Malcolm Burke.
