Item description

Stunning authentic, unboxed Hermes square pure silk scarf 26 X 26 inches or 70 mm X 70 mm - Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches designed by Hugo Grygkar - this very detailed design was originally released in 1937 - with this release, the famous Hermes silk scarf was born - this scarf is a special re-issue of the iconic scarf - dark chocolate brown trim with coral, white, soft orange and pink - made in France - exquisitely hand rolled edges - the fabric has Hermes incorporated into the design - artists of the early designs, such as this one, never signed their designs - care label is still attached. - excellent condition About the Design The theme of Jeu Des Omnibus et Dames Blanches, the first Hermes scarf (1937), was taken from a 1800s board game in Emile Hermes? personal antiques collection. The spiral composition features men and women at a gaming table, with the words above translating to ?a good player never loses his temper.? Surrounding them is a carriage ("les Omnibus") which would become of of Hermes beloved symbols. The carriage played a role in the game which involved competing transportation companies. Please feel free to ask any questions. Shipping methods: I offer multiple shipping methods. Please do scroll to the shipment page to find out the most optimized shipping method to your area. If you choose the default USPS parcel post, I assume you will be OK for me to upgrade to USPS priority mail or UPS ground at no extra charge. Shipping Charge: Shipping included delivery confirmation and maybe insurance if final price over $50. Item over $250 includes signature confirmation. Combined Shipping: Additional item is no extra charge or actual increment of shipping cost if heavy items are combined. Shipping time: I usually ship on Saturdays. So for some, I ship very quick if paid on Friday, and for those who made payments on a Saturday afternoon after P.O.s close, the shipping handling time could be a week -- that's why I don't list anything on Fridays, so that you have at least 24 hours to pay and I have 24 hours to pack. If you need your treasure shipped right away during the week, I can make arrangements -- please email for options. Returns: There are enough pictures plus text description to present the item (in my opinion) and to observe genuine auction spirit, no returns accepted unless misrepresented. Please do not hesitate to email with questions if you feel more information is necessary.
