Item description

Grosset and Dunlap. Copyright 1942. Author was John C. Button. Cover art by Paul Laune. Text rewritten in 1970. This is the original Button text. Print run Carpentieri-coded 1945A-9, the ninth printing. #21 in the series. War-time paper used, see war-time paper notice on the title page picture. This type of paper was fragile and discolors more easily than standard paper. This book does not have any torn pages, though, and the sturdy pages turn well. Very good tan book, strong hinges without tracking. Orange Gretta endpapers. No writing/markings except for neat prior ownership sticker on the front free endpaper. Good-to-very-good dust jacket with edgewear, corner and some spine chipping. Protected in mylar covering. Lists to Melted Coins (1944) on front flap, eight Lone Ranger titles on the rear flap, and twenty-six air combat stories on the jacket rear. HB21RJ
