Item description

Grosset and Dunlap. Copyright 1931. Print run Carpentieri-coded 1959C-50. Second version cover art, sometimes attributed to Laune, although Carpentieri says "unknown, almost certainly not Laune." Author was Leslie McFarlane, using the Stratemeyer "Dixon" pseudonym. Text was subsequently revised/updated in 1967 by Thomas Mulvey and James Duncan Lawrence. #10 in the series. Clean tan book in excellent condition with brown endpapers, plain frontispiece. Original 23 chapters. No writing/marking except for Christmas 1959 gift inscription on front free endpaper reverse. Very nice dust jacket with some chipping at right upper front corner and along top and bottom of spine. Book is now protected in removable mylar covering. (RHBC-10)
