Supernatural horror about a psychologist from New York who travels to a small isolated village in the west of Ireland to look into the strange disappearance of his father. Upon his arrival, Dr Ed Hunter (Alan Devine) finds a place ridden with despair and trepidation. He meets a curious girl who explains his father was involved in a search for the spirits of a mother and child who, 1,000 years ago, were buried alive in the nearby forest. In the hope of discovering more information Ed looks up his father's friend, the village priest (Patrick Bergen), but fearing his life is in danger, the priest has locked himself in the church. The only way to discover the truth is to investigate the woods where a terrifying evil lies in wait.
