Gators are raised on farms in Louisiana; those hunted during the legal hunt are required to be processed at the farm. The hides are sold for leather products, the meat is eaten locally or prepared as jerky, the guts go into the cat and dog food industry ("animal byproducts") and the heads and feet (freeze dried and coated in polyurethane) and t**th are sold to commercial stores.
