Vol. 1, No. 199, October 1978: "The Son of Doctor Doom!" (Part 4 of the Greatest F.F. Epic of all! Doctor Doom captures the Fantastic Four to transfer their powers to a supposed son, aiming to make him his successor amid growing rebellion in Latveria. Reed Richards escapes and frees the team, but Doom resumes his plan until Zorba and the FF expose the "son" as a clone during the coronation. The clone, now mutated with partial powers, defies Doom, leading to a battle where Doom kills his creation and laments the loss of his greatest legacy.
Vol.1, No. 201, December,-1978: After leaving Latveria under interim ruler Zorba, the Fantastic Four returns to the Baxter Building, unsure of their future as a team until Sue insists they remain united as a family. Upon reentering their headquarters, the team is unexpectedly attacked by their own security systems, with each member narrowly surviving a series of deadly malfunctions. Sue ultimately disables the threat, and while Reed vows to investigate the cause, the team celebrates their reunionโrenewed and together again.The Fantastic Four are attacked by a robot impersonating Iron Man, who steals their headquarters, prompting the team to team up with the real Iron Man to investigate. Their search leads them to a deserted island where they discover the true culprit: Quasimodo, a living computer who needed the Baxter Buildingโs systems to regain mobility and reach a dying galaxy he wished to claim. After a fierce battle involving both Quasimodo and his Iron Man robot, the heroes disable him by cutting power to the building, though Quasimodo ultimately escapes into space in pursuit of a mysterious ship.
Vol.1, No, 202, January 1979:
The Fantastic Four are attacked by a rogue Iron Man who steals the top floors of the Baxter Building, prompting the team to investigate Tony Stark, only to learn that the attacker was an impostor. With Iron Man's help, they track their stolen headquarters to a remote island where they discover that the true culprit is Quasimodo, a living computer seeking the building's energy to restore his mobility and reach a dying galaxy. After a fierce battle, Reed disables Quasimodo by cutting the power, and though Quasimodo escapes into space, he finds himself unable to locate a mysterious ship nearby.
