Vol. 1, No. 160, July 1975. "In One World and Out the Other!" Alicia Masters witnesses what she thinks is the Thing battling Arkon, only to realize this Thing is from another dimension when he doesn’t recognize her and speaks with a higher vocabulary. The real Thing, upon learning of the incident, uses Lockjaw to travel to that dimension, where he rescues alternate versions of
himself and Sue Grimm from robotic monsters and learns that their Reed Richards has become reclusive after selling out to a corporation. Meanwhile, back in their world, Reed shocks Sue and Johnny by selling FF patents to a company—Interlocking Technologies Unlimited—insisting it's necessary to keep their operations afloat.
Vol.1, No. 161, August 1975. "All the World Wars at Once!" Reed Richards begins to suspect his powers are fading after selling the Fantastic Four to Interlocking Technologies and lies to Sue about his concerns, blaming Johnny’s recent departure. Meanwhile, Johnny Storm, heartbroken over Crystal's marriage, travels to the 5th Dimension where he learns that an evil alternate Reed Richards is waging war using robotic "Andrones," and Johnny agrees to help fight back. As alternate-world chaos unfolds with time-displaced attacks and betrayal, Reed mistakenly believes Johnny is leading an invasion, unaware that the true threat stems from weapons supplied by yet another mysterious tech conglomerate, Inter-Politan Thermo-Dynamics Unlimited.
