The 1996 episode was titled ?Hell Money? which saw Mulder and Scully investigate a murder in SAN Francisco?s Chinatown involving masked intruders Chinese Rituals. Mulder finds a scrap of burned bill at the scene of the murder, which a colleague identifies as ?Hell Money?, a symbolic offering to deceased spirits. Bills of this kind were created by the production specifically for use in this episode.
