Kevin Riley (Bailey) and his family go to the Caribbean for a holiday but after Kevin indulges his son's sense of adventure by sailing out to a remote and uninhabited island they are left stranded when their boat malfunctions. They are eventually spotted by a passing fisherman who comes ashore to help them, but when the man demands payment from Kevin in return for his rescue things spiral out of control. Kevin must find a way to either pay the man the huge sum of money or otherwise rescue his family before time runs out.
